Twenty Years of God's Grace 1984-2004 |

| Cross of Christ Lutheran Church was started in DeSoto as an outreach to the southern sector of Dallas County. The first pastor of Cross of Christ was the Rev. Craig Schinnerer who had just completed his ministerial training at Concordia Theological Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri. Charter Sunday for Cross of Christ was held on March 25, 1984.
